International festival Fort.Мissia is one of the Ukraine's most powerful and creative festivals. Its main idea is combined creative work of artists, poets, musicians and actors 'on the ruins of war'.

The event is carried out on the defensive outposts of the World War I, in the border area between Ukraine and Poland, not far from border cross point 'Shegini'. Recently the festival Fort.Мissia broadened its territory and now occupies Polish part of the WW I fortification facilities as well - fort Borek that stands one kilometer away from the border line. One may get to this territory only once a year and only within festival's framework.

Fort.Мissia's program includes new art on the old fortifications of the half-forgotten war: land-art objects, experiments with jazz, electronics and modern art, Ukrainian and Polish rock stars' concerts, literary readings, theatrical performances, film projections, fire shows, masterclasses and many more.
