Fine Art Ukraine 2013
Lavrskaya St. 10-12
Working hours: from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed on Tuesday
From February 14 to 24, the IV Exhibition Fair Fine Art Ukraine will be held on the territory of the exhibition area Mystetsky Arsenal. It’ll traditionally feature a wide range of contemporary visual arts: painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, as well as special projects and exhibitions from leading Ukrainian galleries.
The major project will be the exhibition Match Point 88: an instant before a new life. It is based on unique collection of paintings, sculptures and graphics, showing one of the most interesting moments in the Ukrainian art history – withdrawal from the Soviet artistic paradigm and the first attempts of officially sanctioned creative experiments. The canvases feature landscapes, still life, or genre scenes, filled with authors’ personal experiences.
The special project includes works by distinguished artists, as well as by those who just introduced their talent to the art scene, in 1988. These are Tatiana Yablonskaya, Tiberius Silvashi, Alexander Roitburd, Marco Geiko, Oleg Zhyvotkov and others.
