Kyiv Sculpture Рroject 2012

Kyiv Sculpture Рroject 2012 is the first international festival of the modern sculpture in Ukraine. Its main goal is to create a project that will open a new look at plastic art and sculpture's role for the city and its residents. The project can catalyze Ukrainian sculpture's development, become one of town's new calling cards and an example of cultural event, being an effective instrument of territory's development.

Works by 15 sculptors from Ukraine, Great Britain, Australia, Poland, Russia and Netherlands are presented within festival's main project. Event also suggests lectures by leading international curators and art historians, special educational activities, masterclasses, excursion tours, meetings with artists, contests and much more.

The first international festival of the modern sculpture in Ukraine is open for a month - from June 2d to July 2d in the M. Grishko National Botanical Garden. Over this time festival's guests will have an opportunity to visit two parallel projects - exposition of works by modern sculpture contest's finalists, and special project, presenting sculptures of prominent 21st century's painters for the first time in Ukraine.
