The Astral Festival is the main post-rock\post-metal\ambient\shoegaze event of Russia that this year, will take place in Ukraine too. The event will be held in Kyiv on September 13.

The lumps of instrumental math rock and post-rock 65daysofstatic will take a lead in it. This is one of the most iconic and important post-rock bands of our time. Five full-length albums, the most recent of which is "Silent Running" (November, 2011) - the soundtrack to the namesake sci-fi film of 1972 - are on band's account. Their music is an irrepressible energy that combines heavy guitars, keyboards, live and electronic percussion, and simulated electronic noise.
