Blacksmith's craft festival in Donetsk

International blacksmith's craft festival in Donetsk is one of the most unusual and original festivals of the Eastern Ukraine. The holiday takes place on the territory of the Park of forged figures, which over the years of carrying out the festival turned into unique outdoor museum of blacksmith's craft with over 150 "exhibits".

Traditionally every September experts in blacksmith's work from the whole Ukraine, and also from near and far abroad gather in the capital of Donets Basin. Mobile forging furnaces and anvils, on which for two days the participants of the festival demonstrate their talents and skills, conduct masterclasses (in shoeing of horse, making nails, etc.) and compete in their craft, are installed in the Park of forged figures. Each year the theme of the festival is different - from football to mystical.
