Uzvar na Tirase

June 19 to 21, the International Art Festival ‘Uzvar na Tirase’ will be carried out near the well-known Khotyn Fortress. Tiras is the old name for Dniester, and uzvar is traditional Ukrainian drink. It consists of many ingredients and symbolizes the variety of events, planed for the festival. It will be the part of the celebrations dedicated to the Dniester Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of July.

Festival’s program includes performances by ethno and rock musicians, poet and dance groups, art and architecture open-air exhibitions, photo and art exhibitions, workshops on wood carving, basket weaving, painting Easter eggs, artistic tattoos. Ballooning, eco-actions on the river and in the park-monument of the landscape art ‘Khotynskyi,’ riding water bikes on the Dniester and many other interesting activities are also foreseen within festival’s framework.
