Odesa’s Beaches
As any other seaside town, bestowed with favorable climate and nature, Odesa is famous for its resorts, which are ideal for a wide variety of recreation and health improvement. The best known among Odesa’s numerous beaches are ‘Arcadia,’ ‘Otrada,’ and ‘Lanzheron.’
Arcadia is considered to be one of the main attractions of southern Palmira. The majority of Ukraine’s famous sanatoriums are concentrated in this region. You will find numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and children’s amusement parks here. At 10 p.m., Arcadia turns into a nightlife epicenter. From early spring until late autumn, life is in full swing here, even more active than in Odesa’s center!
Admission to the beach is free.
Getting here: The beach is located in Odesa’s Prymorsky region. You may get here by trolleys 5 and 13, buses 195 and 168, or taxi (40 UAH).
The Lanzheron beach is located at the very center of town - at the place where the region’s former governor, Count Lanzheron, kept his vacation home. Today, only one arch from the country house remains, and you can see it at the entrance to the beach. In addition to the huge number of diverse cafes, there is also a dolphinarium on the beach, which makes for a great trip with the kids!
Admission to the beach is free.
